A splash screen asking me to install the cerficate? It has started showing up on both of my computers and I've never seen it before.

1. Hope this helps....

7. I've been getting that certificate too
Something about the site I am viewing has an outdated certificate, so the site might be unreliable.

8. Sounds Like Someone Got Some Spyware
Seems like someone's been busy in mom's basement again. Lately I've been blocking a lot of new strains of spyware and other virus'...mostly to hijack browsers or mine for other tracking data.

I'd suggest running a spyware scan...I use Spyware Doctor...well worth the money and peace of mind.

and some site(s) with their certificate have been programmed to give you that annoying popup.

Unlikely it's anything malicious.
