Anyone up for a nice, roaring Nugent album fire?
Yeah, I know it's kinda Freeperish, but it sure felt good.

I didn't actually burn the album because of the toxic fumes. It got this treatment:

14. Thanks for the link
What is it about Waco that attracts the likes of Nugent, David Koresh, etc.

I'm sure there are a lot of nice, decent people who live there, kinda feel sorry for them.

15. We attract those people
Because we tolerate those people. I think that is a good thing. Even though we get our share of quacks, it is better to tolerate quacks than to persecute them.

24. No, holy crap no
You stand up to them and let them know they aren't acceptable in decent society. You organize a march and head straight down to the Waco Tribune and let the publisher know that you aren't paying good money to support the mad rantings of someone who threatens violence. Then you make sure every advertiser gets a personal copy of this lunacy.

You've tolerated twenty years of executions without ONE pardon or commutation, except for the serial killer. Do you not think there has been ONE mistake in the last 20 years??

I don't think "tolerate" is quite the word I would pick to describe Texans acceptance of unacceptable behaviors.

31. We tolerate quacks who behave within the law
That is a good way to treat others in my opinion. If you disagree, you are cordially invited to stay the hell away. Thank you.

35. Twenty Years of Executions
Sounds to me like you either agree with the quacks or just don't give a shit. And I have made it a personal policy to stay the hell away, and actually use Texas as a prime example of why we have to pay taxes and have regulations in my state. Ted Nugent wouldn't have a column in the majority of our newspapers either. Have you ever heard the saying 'being so open-minded your brains fall out'?

20. I've been "Sharing" all of his MP3's for years. Goal is to cost him money, not make him collectable.

Beatles and Disco 12"s soared in value after being burned.

6. No.
I have a few Nugent LPs, all of them from many years ago, but I will not stoop to burning them. It is just too totalitarian feeling to burn albums, books, etc. where we disagree with the artist who is doing said works.

9. So when do we start
Edited on Sat Aug-25-07 09:47 PM by StClone
Threatening to shoot 'em up?

I am a freakishly dead eye shot, well I used to be. But I'd like to start with Limbaugh, Hannity, work my way through Savage, Coulterthing, on up past Nugent and finish off with a head shot of Liddy. :sarcasm:

Well not really. But don't I sound insane to talk this way in a public forum? Well, Ted 'Bundy' Nugent doesn't it?

10. Better yet...
Sell any Nugent stuff you have on Ebay and donate the proceeds to liberal causes. True it's not as satisfying as physically destroying a record, but the impact will be longer lasting. That is if you think you can make something decent off of selling it.

Fortunately my household is already Nugent-free.

seriously - though isn't it against the law to make these kind of statements - shouldn't the Secret Service be paying Teddy a visit?

Edited on Sat Aug-25-07 10:50 PM by ZombyWoof
I don't have any of his albums to destroy, so I have nothing to add, except:

Nini and I have tickets to the Dodgers game Monday night against the Nationals. Let's see if we can get within 4 or 5 games before Labor Day...

:D

19. Will do!
We got some good ones last year - went to 4 games, including the 15 inning marathon which lasted just past midnight.

We won all 4 games we went to. :D

It's hilarious that they do a 14th inning stretch.
