1. Did you know
that Clarence Smith's Pinetop Boogie was the most recorded boogie piece ever written.

Here's one of the '30s recordings on a 78rpm. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JQixtqDdyLs

Happy Sunday ! :toast:

3. Search for
Axel Zwingenberger who's German I guess.

And this really is Meade Lux Lewis :

And here's Albert Ammons and Pete Johnson: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mIVJw8yX6GY

As has been frequently the case with your own music you'd lost the plot on Boogie Woogie by the early seventies so the Germans hijacked it and it became a european competition dance - still is.

They tend use 6 beat instead of the 8 beat steps in Lindy Hop. This from 8 years ago too : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AbHdm7QAwyA

Now you know the origin of lindy in edwardlindy.......lol. I'm a 63 year music freak who can still dance at over 200bm. I'll leave you with this which is straight swing : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0gItZqYFpCU&mode=related&search=
It's from an Abbott and Costello film - Buck Privates I think.
