The guys are dead and are buried.
The only reason I can see for the owner to do this is that he wants the bodies removed so that he can continue working the mine.
If true, I say leave it as is.

The mine owner has already said the mine is closed. They have filed paperwork to seal it. So, that isn't it.
This decision came after the company reps met with victims' lawyers. So, to me, this sixth hole is to pacify the eventual lawsuit seekers to attempt to reduce the eventual punitive award.
I agree with you though. They have been dead for weeks. Any further digging to me is disturbing a grave.

they mine no one will ever know for sure WHY that mine collapsed around them, I say recover those bodies and throughly investigate the cause. I suspect Murray has got something to hide.

4. Fucking A, they're dead. |
|
They need to stop risking more lives trying to get the carcasses. I know it's important to the families to move them to smaller individual holes, but at some point somebody has to step in and get everybody to let go and stop risking more lives.

Not so easy when it's the "carcass" of someone you love at the bottom of that mine.

6. No, but I did lose my grandfather to black lung disease from mining |
|
so it's not as if I don't know what I'm talking about.
How many have died in the recovery effort now? Is it two or three? I honestly forget. There comes a time when you have to quit making more widows.

7. And there's certainly some room in the middle |

There are countless people out there who would go down there themselves with shovels to do the job. Murray's only worried about playing CYA for insurance purposes.
There are more expensive recovery methodologies that aren't nearly as dangerous as the ones he's using -- they take longer but at this point, they're not looking for living people.

9. Christ. I think Murray is planning a golf course if the mine can't reopen. |
