We've lost a core of DU "Intellectual/Spiritualists" who think...Where Did You Go?

This post is about folks who still lurk and contribute here but have Branched Out to post their views on other Dem Forums.

What I want to know is where do you go that you feel Comfortable when you post something that you feel is profound...but know that many DU'ers working two and three jobs don't have time to read your stuff.

So...I'm Picking a few well known sites. And if you've felt they are responsive to your "thoughtful posts" and have time to read then, please comment about where you feel the BEST SITE is for that.

DU is the BEST FORUM for ALL VIEWS, that I've found ...and believe me ...I've been on many sites, including the ones that "shall not be named."

I think that many feel that their voices will be hear in some places better than others...but that most DU'ers feel that we are such a "Herding Cats Site" that OUR MIGHTY VOICES will be HEARD EVERYWHERE!

I think because we are so Eclectic that the DNC and DLC and ALL OUR DEMS must have OP'S here...

But, I want to know where you go (including Lurkers of DU and those who've left and come back) tend to go when you want your VOICE to get notice.

back in '01 everyone was a Bart Cop Poster.

But, I haven't seen his name posted here in a long while...:shrug:

6. AMAZING...I visit all those sites...and am convinced I see and hear DU posters on all of them!

Maybe folks are "over there" and not "over here" so they won't FESS UP...

So I'll give this a kick hoping some late night voyeurs stop by and ADMIT they post on "a few" of those sites. :D

9. I haven't found a place yet, but I am looking...

I am definitely a progressive, and the idea of a board taking DLC mouthpieces like Hillary
at their word that they are progressive is nauseating.

I like the format of DU, because its really easy to find stuff.

But, the refusal to segregate the Permanent Campaign food fight (aka as premature
campaign 2008) into its own cesspool has polluted all of DU. Everyone is mad at
each other and overreacting all the time. Paid shills constantly pump out candidate
propaganda.

Above all, there is the absolute denial of the people who run this board that agents
provocatuer regular start flame wars that continue to degrade the discussion on this
board. Wake up, idealists: if they will put a police informer in a Quaker peace meeting
in some obscure town in California, they will put agents provocatuers in one of the
most popular boards on the Internet.

DU is not doing well, IMHO, and a lot of it has been caused by deliberate subversive
action. Extreme partisans of (and opposed to) particular political candidates should be
banned or that forum should have an NC-17 sticker put on it.
