Stupid, stupid politics

Gonzales should have been pushed out a long time ago. Clinton did this with Elders, you stand up for them for a couple of weeks, make a few phone calls to set something up for them if they need it and then tell them they have to go. I don't mind that this administration played this with such stupidity, I just don't understand why. Bush can nominate and probably get someone confirmed that will do exactly as Gonzales did.

Same thing with Rumsfeld, how much do you hear about Gates in the news? They could have had that distraction gone much earlier too.
