New TV Special Connects Darwin to Hitler
This ought to be good.:sarcasm:

By way of Project For The Old American Century

Darwin’s Deadly Legacy

Ann Coulter is stunned. How is it, she asks, that she could go through 12 years of public school, then college and law school, and still not know that it was Charles Darwin’s theory of evolution that fueled Hitler’s ovens.

“I never knew about the link between Darwin and Hitler until after reading Richard Weikart’s book,” said Coulter, a popular conservative columnist and a featured expert on the new Coral Ridge Hour documentary, Darwin’s Deadly Legacy, which airs August 25 and 26. Hitler, she said, “was applying Darwinism. He thought the Aryans were the fittest and he was just hurrying natural selection along.”

Coulter is among those who appear on Darwin’s Deadly Legacy, a disturbing look at the historical impact of the theory of evolution and the shaky scientific ground on which it rests.

13. There was this woman -- ten years ago? --
Edited on Mon Aug-27-07 09:08 PM by Buzz Clik
who was basically without talent but managed to cash in on her rage associated with the death of a dear friend. She said crazy things at a crazy time, and she became popular with some people.

But times changed and the craziness in the country started to fade, but this woman couldn't adapt. Rather than cool off her feigned insanity, she turned up the volume; some of the dwindling number of crazies continued to embrace her. She desperately held to her old glory and couldn't accept that her 15 minutes of fame had passed her by.

As I recall, that woman's name was Ann Coulter.

18. Ah, yes.
I seem to recall something about that. Isn't about time for her to guest on "The Surreal Life "or "Dancing With the Stars"?

11. I saw it last Sunday on TBN
It featured way too much Ann Coulter. I still need to write a protest letter once I collect some quotes. When did that hateful person become some kind of Christian spokesperson?

3. What a pile of shit.

The evolution-deniers are getting ever more desperate and hysterical in their feeble attempts to "debunk" evolutionary theory. They seem to have realized that just shouting "it ain't so!" at the tops of their lungs doesn't really advance the debate, so they've turned to the old "guilt by association" tactic. Ooooh, nasty Hitler believed in racial purity and racial purity theory used eugenics and eugenics is based on evolution; therefore Evolution = Hitler.

By the same thinking, everything from chemistry to physics to the wheel is tainted by it's association with Hitler. He was also vegetarian who loved animals, so we're on to you eggplant-loving puppy-fondlers too.

I think the creationists were on firmer ground when they were just stamping their little feet and saying "nuh-uh!"

23. Oddly, I've heard pretty much that point argued.
The depths of insanity that people go to justify their, well, insanity, is mind-numbing.

Monomania, idee fixe, whatever.

25. When will someone claim Darwinism as religion............
or have they already? I will jump on that bandwagon the moment i see it. Things are much easier to analyze when the truth is understood with and for all it's implications.

Much like a bunch of ravenous omnivores who throw back that Double-cheeseburger while tending to rover and claiming Micheal Vick is bad guy. Cannot they even see themselves in this real world of Dog-eat-Dog. Like normal moral and coherent reasoning has been suspended so televangelist and corporate America can tell all the rest of us what to think and when to think it. We have all been brain-washed to one point or another, but asking why is the first step in recovery from it.

Religious Belief

8. I bet they neglect to mention the whole story
and how these theories came to the attention of the racists in Germany.

http://hnn.us/articles/1796.html

It is quite an interesting and shameful story. Bet Coulter forgets to mention any of this stuff though.

12. The Ahnenerbe used politicized racism based on the US eugenics movement
and all the ignorant posters have no idea about who Charles Davenport, or Mr. Laughlin were-let alone the US Eugenics Record Office.

Edwin Black's book "War Against The Weak" documents all of that.

Heather Pringle wrote a book titled "The Master Plan: Himmler's Scholars and The Holocaust" which was about The Ahnenerbe.

But not too many people read anymore, let alone pay attention to history. Thanks for posting Tay Tay-you aren't alone.

IMPEACH CHENEY FIRST.

21. ::screams:: Social Darwinism is NOT real science
I repeat: It is not valid science.
Anyone who claims that they're using "social Darwinism" as the basis of their social plans is an idiot.

Darwin is spinning in his grave over this bullshit.

22. Sadly, not so new
I saw a few minutes of that execrable program on Sunday, and I recalled posting a puke-alert about it just a shade over a year ago.

The DVD must be selling either really well or really poorly if they're still running the same "everybody panic" commercial a year later!
