Help me with a question about the Craig arrest. I'm a little lost.

The foot tapping then foot touching was a come on. Anyone ever heard of this? Seen it?

But after that, what was the hand swipe about? He reached across is body with his left hand and swiped it under the stall door which was on hist right hand side three times. Was it an attempt to make physical contact?

What was going to happen? Spell it out. It was a crowded bathroom. Were the going to join each other in one stall? (No, too much luggage.) Hold hands? Kneel down?

I'm trying to figure out whether what he did, or was going to do, was offensive. If the cop hadn't started tapping his foot, would Craig have touched his foot (that would be a bit creepy I admit) or waved his hand under the stall?

And what's with Craig's lame defense. He should have said he was asking the guy to pass him some toilet paper because his stall was out.

3. I just figured it out. He did nothing lewd.

You'd expect that one busted for public lewdness or having sex in the toilet would actually have been doing something lewd and/or sexual. What Sen. Craig did was a bit creepy, but I'm sure he would have backed down had someone asked him what the hell he was doing. He may very well have a history of trying to solicit sex from public restrooms, but had he not plead guilty in this instance, he would have gotten off on the lewdness charges as there is no real proof in this case. Perhaps a public nuisance charge would have been more appropriate.
