On This Day, August 28, 1963, Martin Luther King: 'I have a dream'

On television and radio, millions are spellbound as King calls upon America to make good on the promise "that all men would be guaranteed the inalienable rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness." Then come the civil rights activist's most famous words: "I have a dream."
