Here's the official police report detailing Larry Craig's arrest.
According to the report, first he committed the offense, then he lied about the cop's actions afterward.

2. You know, I'm a true liberal, and I think this thing is bullshit.
I have no love for the Republicans. But this was a personal encounter and I don't think it warranted either an arrest or all this public attention. I don't care that the guy is married, or a hypocrite, or an asshole in general. He didn't actually do anything wrong.

Have the Dems taken Rove on board...?

3. Its about the hypocrisy
No one, except uptight radical religious types, would give a fuck if he weren't a raging hypocrite elected to power.

Didn't do anything wrong? How about prevented non-hetrosexuals to have the same rights heterosexuals?

9. Well, that's not what he was arrested for. My point is, he didn't
deserve arrest based on the bathroom incident any more that Clinton deserved to be impeached over a blow-job. Period.

16. Clinton Was In His Own House Not A Public Restroom
Where does one get the right to gaze at me through the crack in a stall for two minutes while I'm doing my business, sit in the stall next to me , rub his foot against mine, and then as the finale stick his hand under the divider and into my stall?

4. He didn't do anything wrong?
Really? Then why'd he confess to doing it?

5. I don't give a flying fuck if he has sex with men, women, or over-ripe fruit.
I DO care that this miserable fucking hypocrite is in a position to criminalize the behavior of loving couples, and has in fact attempted to do so, all in the name of party politics.

10. Then they should arrest him for THAT. But he was arrested for
nothing, and we all know that deep down.

If they can do it to him, what makes them think they can't do it to you? An arrest should never occur unless an actual crime has been committed.

8. No Sex In Public Bathrooms
I can't understand why anybody thinks sex in public is acceptable.

11. No sex was had, or even spoken about.
I can't understand why anybody thinks unwarranted arrest in America is acceptable.

12. He wouldn't have pleaded guilty
if he were truly innocent. He was soliciting a sexual encounter in a public toilet. I can't understand why you need to deny it.

13. The police were in the restroom in response to "civilian complaints"
It's an airport facility, used by kids as well as adult travellers.

What, the civilians have no rights in this situation, either?

14. omg, I love this part:
"I was able to see his blue eyes through the crack in the stall door"

Ya know, I have had some crappy jobs in my time, but I cannot imagine sitting in a bathroom stall all day. Yuck. Do they get assigned to that duty? Volunteer?

19. According to Senator Craig
He just "has a wide stance" when he squats.

I'd love to see the "reenactment" of that, just like when Nixon's secretary had to contort and stretch herself around to try to prove she "accidentally" had erased 18 minutes of tape.

Then again, maybe I wouldn't like to see it....

20. I feel sorry for him....
ONLY for the fact that getting viciously and publicly outed is a horrible and traumatic experience (something I have first hand knowledge of, unfortunately). But that's where my pity ends. Sometimes bad things happen to hypocrites, and it's commonly called "poetic justice."

If the police report I read is accurate, I have very little doubt that he was cruising for sex- which is illegal, so the arrest was warranted. What really irks me is that this is now the public perception of what all gay men (and probably women) do.

25. Methinks there's more dirt on the ex-Senator and that's why he gave it up so fast
And this is why the repuke party must be dismantled piece by piece because most of them are subject to blackmail, especially over sexual proclivities. You cannot run a government by blackmail. You can, but it is not for the greater good.

It's my belief that the swiftness with which this happened suggests that something else was either shown to the dear ex-Senator or played to him. They were actually being gentle to the perv by letting him off with a tale of footsies in the bathroom stall. My guess is that there is much worse out there on him -- on record.
