George, you want that new AG? Good. Answer the subpoenas first. |
|
You know, George, we got some issues hanging. Like those subpoenas. Among them, some from the same committee that you now need to confirm whatever star you choose to replace Gonzo.
Tell ya what ...... you give us the testifiers we want and maybe we'll get to taking up whoever you appoint.
Oh .... and we ain't recessing the Senate. So forget that recess crap you love to pull.
(This fantasy brought to you by a clown.)

I assume he has to go to the Judiciary Committee first. Every Dem gives a list of the subpenas the WH hasn't answered.
"Mr. X, we issued a subpena for Harriet Myers on date. Will you honor that subpena? When can we expect Ms. Myers to testify?"
"Mr. X, we issued a subpena for Karl Rove on date. Will you honor that subpena? When can we expect Mr. Rove to testify?"
"Mrs. X, we issued a subpena for White House e-mail records on date. Will you honor that subpena? When can we expect those e-mails?"
Rinse, lather, repeat.

Good idea.
The point is, we need to tie the subpoenas and a new AG together.
