Freedomwatch.org ads: contact local affiliates and ask about their procedures for... |
|
...verifying that the ads they're running don't contain misleading statements or outright lies. The one I sent to the local CBS affiliate went something like this:
"I am wondering what procedure(s), if any, CBS3 has in place to insure that the advertisements being broadcast do not contain obvious falsehoods or misleading statements. Any input you can provide on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you."

Those ads normally have disclaimers that mention diet and exercise. The Freedomwatch.org ads have no disclaimers about the lies they are based on.
