Keep Bald Eagles Soaring! (Defenders of Wildlife)
Keep Bald Eagles Soaring!

After decades of clawing their way back from the brink of extinction, bald eagles have soared off the list of endangered and threatened species and into a promising future.

Now, officials are developing new regulations under the Bald and Golden Eagle Protection Act, the main law that now safeguards bald eagles. We need to make sure that our national symbol remains protected.

Take action now -- tell the U.S Fish & Wildlife Service to keep strong protections in place for bald eagles.

2. Cool. I go to a retreat once a year at Zaca Lake (CA), and there's
an eagle couple across the lake. I look forward to seeing them "at home" each time.

4. My brother went to work on a fishing boat in Alaska and one
tried to land on his slicker. Thank goodness it was slick, which repelled the bird. Ouch otherwise.

6. The pair I've seen at Zaca are there every year, patient fishers,
and pretty magnificent, all in all.
