7. My daughter won an academic "President's" award
in June with chimp's signature on it. She told me she didn't care what I did with it, so I asked DUers for advice. I couldn't believe how many said I should display it proudly. That option never even crossed my mind. I'm with you. He's a traitor and criminal and I wouldn't pose for a picture with him or display his name on a wall of my home under any circumstances.

9. Hello!
And congratulations to your daughter for outstanding merit in any case! (It's just a shame it's this disgraceful occupant of the WH who signed off on her award -- all the more ironic considering it was for academic achievement.)

17. At the award ceremony the principal had the nerve to
read a "letter from President Bush" congratulating the winners. It was all I could do to keep from shouting, "Impeach the bastard!" I was glad there were a few audible groans from the crowd. By the way, I taped a picture of my daughter on her graduation day over chimp's name so I can hang the award if she wants.

Thanks for your kind words.

6. That picture in the restaraunt looks like the same people
he had dinner with the last time he needed a photo op. Same old story, different day. And Nagan looks like he's expecting to get kissed. *ush's not even smart enough to know he's not wanted by 99% of the people of New Orleans.

8. I surely would have thought that Leah Chase would have more sense
than to provide a photo op like this to a guy who didn't give a rat's ass whether black people lived or died when Katrina hit. His administration know BEFORE the levees broke that it was going to be a killing catastrophe, especially for the poor and the elderly. It was a deathtrap and this bunch of criminal parasites let these people die. And now they won't provide the funds so that they can reclaim their houses, their city, and go back to where they belong.

Shame, shame, shame on Leah Chase.

Dookie Chase's NO restaurant. She had her own television show and she's been on Julia Child's Cooking With Master Chef's.

I loved to watch her cook, but you could feel your arteries clogging through the television screen.

Leah Chase Biography

Leah Chase, "the Queen of Creole Cuisine," was born January 6, 1923, in Madisonville, Louisiana, of Catholic Creole parents. She was sent to New Orleans in 1937 to live with her aunt and to attend St. Mary's Academy for high school. Her first job out of school was at the Oriental Laundry in the French Quarter. A week later, Chase was hired by the Colonial Restaurant on Chartres Street. She has been in the restaurant industry ever since.

In 1945, she met and married musician Edgar "Dooky" Chase II, whose parents owned the Dooky Chase Restaurant. At first, Chase spent her time raising her children and sewing, but once the children were old enough to attend school, she began to work at the restaurant three days a week. She changed the menu to serve hot meals at lunchtime to black men who were beginning to work in offices. She started out as a hostess, but she was soon redecorating the restaurant and working as chef. Because of Chase, the Dooky Chase Restaurant is known for its good food, antiques and original African American art.

Chase has received many awards both for her culinary genius and her community service including: the coveted New Orleans Times Picayune 1997 Loving Cup Award, the Weiss Award from the National Conference of Christians and Jews, the Torch of Liberty Award, the University of New Orleans Entrepreneurship Award, the Outstanding Woman Award from the National Council of Negro Women, and numerous honors from the NAACP. She serves on many organizational boards including the Arts Council of New Orleans, the New Orleans Museum of Art and the Urban League. Chase is a frequent guest on many of the televised cooking shows and was visiting culinary professor at Nichols State University in 1996. She has four children, sixteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

13. Stephanie, I was in the archives about a half hour ago looking for that great photo essay you
did of Shrub 2 years ago, and the photos are no longer showing up. I think though it is a great reminder of what he was doing while lives were being lost and torn apart while he played.

21. It worked on Safari. Try Firefox again and if it doesn't work, submit a
bug report. They need feedback to improve an already fine product.

Here's another good browser. It has a small, but loyal following.
