How deep does the sleaziness go in the GOP?
How disgusting are they really? They dress real nice and ride around in limos and hob nob and live like kings, but how sleazy are they deep, deep down inside?

How deep does this sleaziness go in our government? Larry Craig gave us all a slight but oh so titillating peek, as did Mark Foley, but who else up there on the hill or in the White House is slightly seedy and sordid?

All I know is, for 20 years I've been hearing some very strange and even unbelievable rumors about the reagan and bush years and certain sordid, sleazy details that would curl granny's hair.

But you don't have to be boinking pages or trolling men's room's to be sleazy, sleazy is as sleazy does, and we all know that most of these expensive suits are in reality whores gone wild.

The GOP is like 'The Picture of Dorian Gray', all sweet and shiny and young and clever on the surface, but corrupt inside, evil, deviant, virulent, decadent, debauched, and sleazy to the core.

I have often wondered how truly, deeply sleazy are william kristol, paul wolfowitz, condi, cheney and the royal bush family? It makes my flesh crawl just thinking about it.

3. I think Eyes Wide Shut hinted at it
It would not surprise me to learn that all those you mentioned were the worst of the worst.

They just exude ill-will and I'm sure they're as depraved as a person can be.

It always amazes me how some otherwise caring people cannot see them for what they are.

Fear not, Philosoraptor, their days are coming to an end and kindness and decency will some day be fashionable.

5.  It sure has come a long way down
I think the powers in it think they are autocrats. It is not the party that I grew up with, with every one in the family in it. My father gave a great deal of money to the old GOP. Course in those days taxes were very hard on you if you made a good living. The rates were way up over 50 percent if I recall. They were also dead set in keeping the Church and State in their place. I grew up reading the folders that sat on our coffee table about it.

This is the best analogy I can find. For 30 years it looked 'great' on the surface...until

reword.

7. I'm finding the sleaziness is even deeper
than I could have imagined (and not only confined to the republicans though their party is completely corrupt). Actually, our whole government infrastructure is sleazy from the executive branch, the congress, the pentagon, the state department, all agencies in "Homeland Security", major US corporations, think tanks, and lobbying organizations. I'm currently doing a project and I'm being more and more surprised the deeper I go. Before it's all over, I'll probably need counseling.

"Dig a hole in the ground straight down to hell
Till there ain't no more water in the well, well, well
When you're down on your knees with nothing left to sell
Try diggin a little deeper in the well well well
Well, well, well
Well, well, well"
