Frank Gafney is arguing with an Iraq war veteran.
The soldier said the enemy combatants used to surrender to us because they know they will be treated well. Gafney doesn't get it. Matthews said someone in authority has to be held accountable for Abu Ghraib.

1. It was an incredible discusion
I liked the last line

"I've been in combat, you have not."

That said it all

2. These chickenhawks will never get it.
This vet is worried about his fellow soldiers. Gafney is trying to say it was a low level bunch of thugs that did Abu Ghraib.

3. That really is the take away comment from the discussion.
That it was a force multiplier for the enemy to know they would well treated, therefore they were more apt to surrender. And both tweety and gafney disagreed with him.
Having been on active duty does not necessarily qualify one as an expert on strategy, tactics or philosophy, but having avoided service doesn't either .

To think he knows whats better than troops in the field than an actual troop WHO WAS THERE!!!

The vote vets guy was just asking Gaffney about his military experience when Tweety ended it.

5. The gall of that vet!
What makes him think hia lowly opinion could possibly matter in the presence of these highly-recompensed media heavyweights who had the wisdom and good judgment to avoid combat?

6. Our country's credibility has been destroyed
thanks to the likes of Gaffman. One can only hope we can rebuild our reputation in the near future.
