MENENDEZ STATEMENT ON SEN. WARNER'S CALL TO WITHDRAW TROOPS FROM IRAQ

Washington, DC— United States Senator Robert Menendez (D-NJ), a member of the Foreign Relations Committee, today made the following statement after Senator Warner (R-VA) called for a withdrawal of American troops from Iraq by Christmas:

“The announcement by Sen. Warner shows that the President's fragile support is crumbling and that a domino effect to change the course in Iraq is finally grabbing the attention and conscience of our Republican leaders. As I’ve said from the beginning, it is time to get our troops out of Iraq."
