Is there any chance whatsoever that Cecil Andrus could run for Craig's seat |

He's the only Democrat that could win and he'd be a great Senator.

1. Craig already has a challenger: former congressman Larry LaRocco |

2. I don't think that LaRocco stands a chance |
|
He ran for Lieutenant Governor in 2006 and lost in a landslide to Tim Risch who is likely to get the Senate seat if Craig does resign or not run for re-election.
Since losing his seat in Congress in 1994 he has run for several other offices and lost each time. People don't generally don't vote for losers that keep running again and again because they see them as people who can't hold a real job. Whether that is true in LaRocco's case I don't know if that is true but it will be seen that way.
Cecil Andrus would stand the best chance and he's also a real progressive. I just wish he were 20 years younger.

3. His wikipedia page doesn't indicate that he was a candidate at all |

between losing his seat and losing the Lt. Governor's race.
