I predict this stealth candidate for AG |
|
George Terwilliger. Never heard of him right? According to many sources, the WH now has a list of 5 and he's on it. Terwilliger was the number 2 in the JD under bush1, and a former U.S. Attorney in VT. He was also on the legal team for georgie in 2000. 2. I think it's down to Clement or Terwilliger |
|
Olsen and Chertoff wouldn't stand a chance. Schumer seems to want Clement. I heard him this morning on NPR praising him alsmost lavishly.

3. Terwilliger is someone (like Gates) who smooths things over |
|
Not fixes or repairs...just smooths. So at this stage, he's the smart choice for Bush Inc...depending on their end game plan. I'm inclined to think he fits into that game plan best.
Terwilliger helped to smooth over BCCI for Poppy....

4. Yep. And he is likely to |
|
be confirmable. That's got to be a huge factor for the WH.

6. We need a thread dedicated to Terwilliger and BCCI /Selection 2000 |
|
to put out there in one post for people.
I'm betting Octafish and blm have lots of info on him as well.
I thought about doing it but I had surgery on Tuesday and I'm still on pain meds...no telling how it would come out sounding. :)

5. This needs to be done by consensus. GW can't pick the new AG. |
|
It will be a waste of time.

that's the way they come to concensus. The WH is also going to holding talks with JC members.
