Do you feel the airlines is the test ground ?
They seem to use them since 9/11 to see just how much people will forefit in rights just to travel .

If we want a national strike the airlines would be the place to start . Just refuse to fly . None of their regulations are going to keep anynoe safe as if there were another strike on the US anyone would use the airlines the same way twice .

This seems insane to me that people still go along with these backups and searches and do it so willfully .

Air travel has become so much worse than ever before but the tickets still cost and the service is an abomination from what I hear . We ever bailed out the airlines for their neglect .

1. that is my thinking,
I am actively looking for a new job that doesn't require me to travel so much because I am sick of the harrassment by the TSA who are boorish, loud and needlessly aggressive.

I have had multiple items stolen from me by TSA screeners including the charger for my cell phone, a digital camera memory card, a pair of brand new iPod headphones and a Bestbuy giftcard.

These items were stolen going through Terminal 5 and Terminal 3 at LAX over three seperate occasions after I got the stupid SSSS thing that entitles you to everything short of a strip search. The stolen items were all in deep compartments in my laptop case.

Hell if you drive around LAX you will even see TSA gang tags now!

I am a strong advocate for Bill Mahar's proposed "Fly at your own risk" airlines.

3. They sure do, although I don't think it's mandatory.
I think it's just for getting a special pass or something. Nevertheless, my response, at the time they announced it:

4. I love to fly, however
I simply will not get on an airplane and haven't since 9/11 (except for the 15 minute ride in a Ford TriMotor - which was cool beyond belief and required no security check) . Not for fear but because all of these rules are Stupid.

:freak:
