Re: Sen. Craig. Why are Liberals Gay-Bashing?
Edited on Thu Aug-30-07 05:42 PM by edhopper
Since when does being gay mean a politician should resign, I thought Liberals supported the Gays.

Okay, I'm trying out the next Right-Wing talking point on the Craig Affair.(cough)

What else should we expect to hear? Can we beat the freepers to the punch?

I am editing this post because of the knee-jerk replies of everyone who do not understand that,
THIS IS A JOKE!!

Please read the entire post before you reply.

1. Not gay bashing as much as hypocrite bashing
These morons bash and trash and try to pass laws to stop the very acts they are engaging in.

That is what everyone here is trying to nail these suckers for.

2. Thanks to his vote I can be fired from my job for being gay
so why shouldn't he. In 1996 ENDA failed by one vote with Craig voting against.

4. He shouldn't resign because he's gay. He should resign because he pleaded guilty to a crime
He should resign because he did all he could to cover it up.

5. where are you hearing Dems calling for him to resign? It's all republicans.
we don't care that he's gay although he shouldn't have done it in a public rest room. We think this is closer to Clinton than Foley. Every blog I've read on the left side is very sympathetic. The right wing blogs can't throw him under the bus fast enought.

Or, were you being sarcastic?

(We are having a bit of fun at his expense but only because he's a hypocrite. After that calmed down we just feel sorry for the guy.)

8. It's the hypocrisy...
Edited on Thu Aug-30-07 05:39 PM by backscatter712
Quite frankly, going up on the Senate floor and bashing gay marriage, the "gay agenda", court rulings from "activist judges" upholding the 14th Amendment; then turning around and soliciting gay sex in a bathroom is pretty damn disgusting. I'm like most people in that I can't stand hypocrites

I'm absolutely 100% supportive of the GLBT community, but I have no problem with mocking Larry Craig mercilessly.

9. Gee if you'd only paid attention
you'd know that on this board, we bash hypocrisy, something the anti gay rights Craig has in abundance.

Right wingers lack the ability to recognize hypocrisy when they see it, being flaming hypocrites, themselves, all of them.

10. GOP Policies forced this man into the bathroom
Edited on Thu Aug-30-07 05:40 PM by LSK
As Randi put it last night on Larry King.

The GOPs history of gay bashing has made this man ashamed of being gay and forced him to try to get it secretly in the bathroom.

This Senator was one of those behind the GOP crusade demonizing gays.

There's plenty of trolls new and old actually arguing that.

14. I didn't realize we were gay-bashing.
I thought we were bathroom-stall-pickup bashing. That's pretty sleazy, especially when the senator is married and presents himself as a paragon of "family values."
