Will the Craig scandal cause homophobes to stop voting Republican?
Or will they explain it away the same way they did with Haggard, Foley, etc: "They're not perfect, just forgiven"? :puke:

1. They'd rather vote for the most bigoted party
Even if they're not all bigoted.

2. Nope, they'll continue to vote for the law and order but
make sure every homicidal maniac can get a gun party.

What, you were expecting logic?

3. I think it may cause them to quietly drop the anti-gay agenda
from their platform, in order to avoid future embarrassments and the well-justified charges of hypocrisy that follow every new scandal. I think Republicans will always be bigots, but a little bit sneakier about it than they've been in recent years.

5. They keep voting Republican
till they have nothing no money on house no health no schools for their children. They will stop voting Republican when they are living on the streets and need our help.

7. Naah
The Repugnicans are doing a pretty good job of distancing themselves from "Tearoom Larry." In fact, they're lining up and taking numbers to be the next one to publicly throw him under the bus. Unfortunately, I think this won't affect the national Repugnican party one bit.

8. No. Where are they going to go instead?
They are as trapped over on the right side of the Kleptocratic Duopoly & War Party, Inc. as we are trapped over on the left side.

14. From what I've read here
the scary thought that there might be a gay man in the stall next to you will be keeping many a Duer desperately holding it in rather than risk the dreaded foot tap or urinal peek.

15. they'll have to get born again...
but then everything will be okey-dokey...as long as they promise to make abortion illegal, forbid gays to marry, discriminate against any non-white people, and keep the hate-fest going.

18. "Do as I say, not as I do"
As long as they keep saying the anti-gay rhetoric, that's all that matters to homophobes. It's like with abortion - Roe v. Wade is still in effect after 6 years of Republican control of all three branches, but anti-choicers still support them because they say they'll repeal it.
