I watched BBC news tonight
Okay,here goes
I didn't scour the internet for transcripts or links or u-tubes or whatever bullshit gets clamored for here, it would take me all night to figure out how to do that shit on a computer I just watched the broadcast and here are a couple of things I saw:

About 50 South Korean hostages were released after being kidnapped and held for several weeks by the taliban in Afghanistan. Remember the taliban? They're still around.

About 4 million Iraqis are displaced, homeless and "living" in deplorable outdoor shelters in the desert heat. Remember the Iraqis? They're the ones better off now.

So, what's on the American news? A blowhard U.S. senator may or may not have tried to solicit sex in an airport bathroom.

No wonder we're going down the tubes.

9. I watch it on PBS every morning as I'm waking up.
I get a lot of information there that I don't get on American TV News.

2. What we need is a new Major News Source....Not in
anyway connected to the existing News Sources...

This New News Source would bring back true journalist....we so desperately need it in this country.

And it started when Reagan repealed the Fairness Doctrine. We don't have news in this country. Even Keith Olberman is part news and part entertainment.

Only those who can get Linktv or the equivalent will know the truth.

It's appalling how lazy Americans are. I've said it before, we deserve this administration. But that's not fair to those who are paying attention.

And we will continue down those tubes until we regain our feedback loop. We are a system. And we've lost our control loop. The media was our feedback. Without it, we know nothing. I've been watching, but it wasn't obvious to me just how serious it was. I saw the big hair bubble brains babbling on the boob tube. I turned it off. Only now do I see just how dangerous it is.

Edit- Actually, it started before Reagan repealed it. I remember in the early eighties being disgusted with the bullshit that was called the news.

7. I luv BBC news. One of my favorite newcast was....
one about the hurricane that had hit the northeast. They were quick to point out that our power structure was near
3rd world status. They showed a sad line of leaning power poles and pointed out that in Europe most power lines run underground.

It was a bit painful.

A little doze of reality.

10. I always watch it.
Mainly because I watch Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares (started watching that because my son's first name is Ramzey - LOL).

And I find Eric Idle's closed captioning commercials hilarious.
