Craig Admits Guilt at This Point in the Interview >>>
Edited on Thu Aug-30-07 10:40 PM by Stephanie

He is admitting that he has been lying when he says "Okay." Listen to the audio, it's clear.

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/20467347

DK: Okay, sir. We deal with people that lie to us everyday.
LC: I'm sure you do.

DK: I'm sure you do to sir.
LC: And gentleman so do I.

DK: I'm sure you do. We deal with a lot of people that are very bad people. You'er not a bad person.
LC: No, I don't think I am.

DK: Okay, so what I'm telling you, I don't want to be lied to.
LC: Okay.

DK: Okay. So we'll start over.

1. That a lot to pin on an 'okay'.

I'd say it just means he acknowledges that DK doesn't want to be lied to.

3. Actually, the point where he says "You solicited ME"
is the point I would brandish if I were the prosecutor.

Inherent in that sentence is that he is admitting SOME kind of solicitation or intent was occurring.

Which is contrary to everything else he is claiming in the interview.

6. My thoughts exactly.
Craig could only relate that to any truth whatsoever if he hinges it upon some perception that his solicitation was reciprocated by the cop. But that condemns him.

which was "I don't want to be lied to."

I'm commenting on the evidence you've presented. It's weak. Extremely so. No reason for YOU to take it personally. Come back with better evidence, and I'll call it good.

15. No kidding. How many repukes defended Bill Clinton? They're STILL foaming at the mouth
Edited on Fri Aug-31-07 11:28 AM by in_cog_ni_to
at just the mention of his name!

NEVER, ever, ever defend a repuke for anything. They would NEVER afford YOU/us the same courtesy. Trust me. Just ask Sludge.

Better yet, read, "Blinded By The Right" by David Brock to see how the RW REALLY operate. They're all slime, IMCPO.

23. I'd Say Okay, But Then I Fear You'd Read Into It And Come With Some Wildly Nonsensical Accusation.

Lighten up a little. Did you not expect people to think that declaring him guilty because he said 'okay' was just a tad silly? C'mon now. This OP premise is a huge stretch LOL

21. I don't agree.
I don't agree. I believe that Craig's reply could be interpreted in any number of valid ways--

Craig: "Okay-- I see where you're coming from"

DK: Okay, so what I'm telling you, I don't want to be lied to.
Craig: "Okay-- I understand that you do not wish to be lied to"

I'm not defending the guy by any means, but let's apply critical thought and intellectual honesty across the board.

22. you may disagree but don't question my honesty
intellectual or otherwise. on listening to the audio. this is my conclusion. I think it's very apparent in the audio that he is saying, okay, I'll stop lying now. that's implicit in his tone. if I were on a jury that would convince me.

24. I'm not questioning your honesty
I'm not questioning your honesty. However, I do question a conclusion based on the assumption that only one interpretation is absolutely correct. Heck, I'm the forst to admit that I get caught up in my own biases all the time; and realizing that, it becomes incumbent on me to look at every possible possibility... even the ones that don't support my opinion.

Interpreting tone and tenor is difficult even under the best circumstances.
:hi:

(Honestly-- please don't think I'm questioning your honesty or intent-- I'm not and I truly apologize if I came across that way...)
