Ahem... since we are discussing closeted GOP. (rightwing) Talk radio was discusing rumors about Lindsey Graham today. I had NO idea. 1. I can't fathom a gay man embracing republican ideals. 2. The GOP closet seems to be bursting! 3. Conversatives seem to (quietly) accept these gay republicans.
edit: What does it say about the Dems when the GOP seems to have more gays in prominent positions?

1. What I can't fathom is why these people support a party which detests gays |
|
I guess that being elected is more important than being true to themselves.

7. Apparently the toughest thing about being Conservative. |
|
Instead of embracing their innate tendencies and culture a meaningful relationship with a same sex partner, they set themselves in marriage shams, elephantine hypocrisy, and risky behaviors. They'd rather condemn fellow gays, the poor and weak, without so much as batting an eye. Conservatives have no problem with any war, stealing another countries resources, selling out our country to Corporate interests. Yet to have them admit their true nature, they'd rather go to the nth degree of lies and hypocrisy. Secondly is espousing Darwinism by action and deny the concept another altogether hypocritical aspect of being a Con.

3. Republican Party is overwhemingly the party of closeted gays. I don't know why. |
|
I think some people really prefer the overall Republican agenda and some maybe some think it gives better cover.
Also some peope are born into a political party and don't want to leave. this was true of many Republican women in the 80s, who were pro=choice and kept trying to work within the Republicn party.

5. Given that the GOP is full of self loathing queens... |
|
desperately trying to stay in closet, it says to me that the DEMs are more open about what they are really like.
GOPpers are all about keeping it on the down low, because if is homosexuality is open and excepted they can't get off on their dirty secrets anymore.

6. Are we the gay party now? |
|
Not sure if that will go down well with the boys from the slogan department.
Republicans accept all sorts and gays can be motherfuckers too.
