3. If Vitter Was Being Diapered By Male Prostitutes I'd Give Him A Pass |
|
If Larry Craig was staring in dressing rooms as women were changing I wouldn't give him a pass...
Prostitution is largely a victimless crime... There is no victim... Staring into occupied restrooms through a crack in the stall after the door is locked is a gross invasion of a person's privacy...

4. because its the GOP's way |
|
look, the only group making an issue of whether Craig was gay or not is the Republicans. If Craig was accused of soliciting a female hooker at the airport bar, the GOP would rally around him and take their lumps like they did with Vittner. The GOP makes it clear that homosexuality is not tolerated in their ranks. Its that simple.

7. A lot of reasons. But I have to add that Vitter just did a plain better job of his own defense. |

8. It was pretty much all of the above but ... |
|
Craig plead guilty to a crime and Vitter has never been charged with anything.

10. Vitter appeared on a phone list -- no crime, no conviction |

The Senate is full of lawyers -- pleaded guilty is "over and out."
Why does your poll only list emotional choices?

11. At least Vitter did his diaper kink behind closed doors |
|
and wasn't trolling for bj's in a public restroom in an airport.
That could be a difference.

12. I'm wondering why Bob Allen never made a blip in the media. |
|
Sure he's only a State Representative and not a Senator, but I don't recall him getting ANY coverage from the television media and his arrest seemed to be even more damning than Craigs.

There are thousands throughout the country...
Craig is a senator and a member of a much smaller group...
