Absytheminded Retires from the USAF today! Please Congratulate Him Here.

I'm starting this thread for him as he's a new member. He's been an avid DU reader and supporter for a very long time though; didn't join and post because he wore a uniform. He's also my best friend and sweetheart. :D

Today his uniform gets put away for good and he says goodbye to 22 years of serving this country. I am proud of his accomplishments and also happy he will finally be an active member of DU.

Welcome to DU absytheminded and congratulations on your long-awaited retirement!

My dad retired in 1971 after 20 years in the Air Force. I'm still very proud of him.
