moviefone.com frustration... Are they censoring stuff?
A couple of items...

First their Summer movie poll includes none of the political films we'd like to vote up (11th Hour, Sicko, etc.):

http://movies.aol.com/feature/summer_movies/best-worst

At least they do have Michael Moore on this list...

Secondly, I go in and enter 92126 as my zip code and get a list of movies to see where "The 11th Hour" is showing. I see that is showing in the Landmark in La Jolla. Yay! I click on the "11th Hour" movie link on that listing to see where else it might be showing.

The 11th Hour page comes up and says:

our Location:
San Diego, CA 92126 Change Your Location
This movie is NOT currently playing in your area.

WTF? Is this a data problem, or are they intentionally keeping the Landmark listing from showing up here?

1. It is a number of problems together.
First, Moviefone doesn't list every theater. Mine never got successfully set up with Moviefone during its five years in operation.

Second, it depends on how often they refresh the listings, and whether the theater had sent their times before the last refresh.

Third, there are problems with data entry sometimes.

Fourth, they are lousy at tracking # of miles between you and a theater based on some zip codes.

No conspiracy.

2. It's not a Moviefone conspiracy
The 11th hour is only playing limited engagements, 15 theaters nationwide this weekend according to Variety. Fandango also listed Del Mar along with La Jolla.
