Want to see what we face with HRC as a candidate? |
|
http://forums.delphiforums.com/n/mb/message.asp?webtag=DiverseCity&msg=10200.77I have had a long running conversation with this RW guy and went through the Clinton matter with him in the good old 90s This is on Delphi and they make you log in as a guest to read it.

1. Yeah, and the media and the Republicans will just leave all of the other candidates alone. |

But with Clinton they have a built in hatred caused by a decade of work that they only need to tweak. The others are almost a blank slat compared to Clinton.

2. They will Swiftboat ANY Democratic candidate. HRC's not my candidate, |
|
but I'll give her this: she'll know how and be willing to fight back.

4. and what else can they "surprise" |
|
her with anymore?
I mean, what the heck is left? Is there anything they haven't lambasted her for, before?
She's weathered the swiftboating storms numerous times, I have no doubt she can do it again.

It is not about her weathering the Storm that is not hard to do. But the objective is to make this a close election and lock in the solid south on the gop side. It only has to be within a few points to make it possible to steal if they can't win outright. Has not history taught us anything?

I think it's a tempest in a teapot.
I think we could run a stick and get them elected.
The GOP's got NOBODY that is even remotely electable at this point.

really believe that.
I think we've lost with Thompson's impending announcement, myself. I'm focusing on the House and Senate.

9. Freeptards like your friend should be a lot more worried |
|
about how the nation is going to view the last 8 years of Bush administration incompetence, corruption, duplicity, law breaking, and just plain stupidity - along with the Republican party's enabling of those same things, than what people are going to think about HRC and the ginned up scandals of the 90's. Don't go on the defensive with these assholes - the Republican party is in a bad way and needs an anvil dropped on them every day!
and I'm not sure anybody thinks the surge is working like the moron you're talking to does, is worth talking to, period.

The repugs have a lot of garbage hanging over there heads. But if there is garbage in the streets and no one mentioned it does it exist? Who in the media is going to speak of those things? KO, and a few others who will be marginalized by the overwhelming silence coming from the MSM. And besides they will not have time to cover it with a new Clinton scandal every week.

To which Kerry did not respond Instead he kept trying to explain his remark about being against the war before he was for it...or was it the other way around...

I'm saying that's one less thing to really worry about with her as a candidate.
PLEASE NOTE: I'm especially 'for' any Democratic Candidate. I'm not "against" ANY Democratic candidate.

I try to defend them all against all the attacks.
We eat our own sometimes. :sigh:
While I think it would be totally awesome to have someone besides "an old white guy" in the WH - I would never attack any of our candidates. I think they're all pretty great.
I also think now would be an optimal time to effect the change in this country that should have been made a LONG time ago, eh?
