Wow, Charlie Daniels Has Got It Bad
I looked him up wondering if he had come to his senses about Bush yet since I can't believe anybody still supports the idiot. Apparently not, look at this dribble from his latest post at his website:

"Dear folks what I am trying to tell you with this series of articles is, don't let your heart be troubled, don't let these people scare you.

I mean, come on, are you really worried about global warming? I'm not. Folks, this global warming scare is all about politics. Global politics, one world government, with something like the United Nations riding herd on the earth's population, telling you what you can and can't do.

They want to control the amount of carbon emissions you create, what kind of light bulbs you can have in your house and evidently how many pieces of toilet tissue you can use per bathroom visit."
http://www.multimedia-interactive.com/cdb/view_topic.php?id=5922&forum_id=4

Speaking of one world government, I wonder if he as ever visited the PNAC website.

1. And to think I bought his album back in 1976 or so.
I liked his music and fiddle, but now...dang. I'm very disappointed.

9. Same Here.
Not much of a country music fan but I occasionally liked to listen to some of his stuff. Then again I liked a bit of Ted Nugents stuff too. I sure won't be listening to anything from either of them anymore.

33. Yep, ole Ted.
I remember Charlie playing in the movie "Urban Cowboy". And I don't much care for country music either but back then he, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, and the band that sung this song who's name escapes me and whose album I have in my garage 'cause I don't have no record player.

London Homesick Blues(gary p. nunn)

When you’re down on your luck
And you ain’t got a buck
In london, you’re a goner
And london bridge
Has fallen down
And moved to arizona
Now I know why

We’ll now substantiate the rumor
That the english sense of humor
Is drier than the texas sands.
You can put up your dukes
Go bet your boots
I’ll be leavin’ here as soon as I can.

I wanna go home with the armadillo
Country music from amarillo and abilene
The prettiest women and the friendliest people you ever seen.

Well, I decided that
I’d take my cowboy hat
And go down to the marble arch station
’cause when a texan fancies
To take his chances
Chances will be taken,
That’s for sure.

And goes blind me eyes
For eying the prize
Some people call manly footwear
’cause when your thumb down south
When you open your mouth
You always seem to put your foot there.

I wanna go home with the armadillo
Country music from amarillo and abilene
The friendliest people and the prettiest women you ever seen.

I wanna go home with the armadillo
Country music from the lone star café and abilene
The prettiest women and the friendliest people I’ve ever seen.

43. Gary P. Nunn sang it.
And wrote it! He was one of the band mates of Jerry Jeff Walker when Viva Terlingua came out. Now that is some fine music!

Just more of stupid people playing to even stupider people. The problem is these stupid people are allowed to vote.

I do not think so...that and other techniques to limit who could vote have been used in the past. The Voter's Rights Act was meant to set that str8...

What's with the emphasis on "toilet tissue" this week?

First it was Sen. Larry Craig, now entertainer Charlie Daniels. Am I missing something here?

20. I could have my wish?
You're talking about hate crimes.

I'm talking about wishing that being stupid were a disease that killed its host before the host could infect / influence others.

Not quite the same thing as advocating hate crimes, is it?

38. Depends on whether or not you really meant it.
Stupidity is a congenital or temporary condition. Congenital does not necessarily exclude genetic cause.

Take your post and substitute any genetic or temporary condition you want and then you decide if what you said was equal to hate speech.

You can't cure stupid. Wish it was fatal.

I probably should have let it slide but I am having a rough day and what you said was insensitive. I have a minor form of dyslexia and was called stupid on more than one occasion while growing up.

Peace.

I didn't mean to offend anyone like you. But YOU are not stupid.

It was an extreme, over-the-top statement, and I didn't even really mean it. It's just a stupid comment made out of extreme frustration from living with ACTUAL, aggressively stupid people.

Peace.

you keep drivin that 3 mpg suv
crank your a/c at home until you freeze
and wipe your butt with a whole roll of paper if you want

but you have lost the right to complain about gas prices, smog in the air, that the fish you catch are unedible, the steak you heat makes your nuts shrivel up, and how you get sunburned just getting the paper in the morning!

and dont say a frikin word to me because I'm saving money
buying florescent bulbs
riding my bike
buying local produce
filling my own water bottles
ect....

Also, dont look for any aid whatsoever if you get sick from these things you call luxuries
especially your weight!
I've lost 10 pounds so far riding my bike-it looks like you could stand to do the same!

Cut off the red states!

Hank Williams Jr. is just as kooky. Gretchen Wilson idolizes Daniels. That tells me everything I need to know about her! :puke::puke::puke::puke::puke::puke::puke::puke:

Daniels isn't worthy to lick Willie Nelsons boots!

Also, "They want to scare the population of this country and the world for that matter, into being submissive to their superior wills and knowledge."

Daniels is conceding that he does not like intelligent people! :eyes:

I never cared for Country "Music", Charlie Daniels reconfirms why.

44. Ronnie Van Zant should rise from the grave
And kick Charlie Daniels in the ass. Ronnie knew a thing or two about environmental degradation, and as he said "all I can do is write about it."

Charlie once worked to elect (and re-elect) Jimmy Carter. What the hell happened to his conscience? Maybe he was never smart, but he wasn't a complete tool either.

Maybe Ronnie died at the right time, and most tragic of all, left us with the long, sad decline of Charlie Daniels.
