Weapons Arsenal Discovered


WASHINGTON, DC (WUSA) -- What began as an arrest at an immigration protest has now turned into a much bigger case involving federal officials.

The FBI and ATF say 24-year old DC resident Tyler Joseph Froatz had an arsenal of weapons in his possession: including numerous guns, ammunition, knives, a Molotov cocktail, hand grenade, claw hammer, pepper spray, flare gun, and a 100,000 volt taser gun.

Police discovered the stash of weapons after arresting Froatz for assault at an immigration rally on Tuesday. When the suspect was arrested at the rally he was carrying a backpack containing two knives and a flare gun.

The arresting officers then obtained a warrant to search Froatz's JEEP where the rest of the weapons were found.
