Yes, it's possible to undo "teh [sic] stoopid" of so-called "funnies" such as Mallard Fillmore or, more recently, Day by Day (or, as the cognescenti affectionately call it, Duh by Duh).

Atrios pointed us to a great example at the Sadly, No blog.
