Imagine The Sort Of Nation We Could Have If We Cut Defense Spending By Half
Just take the Department of Defense's budget and cut it in half, revise the tax law to remove Bush's cuts to the wealthy, and then hold taxes there for the next 10 years. Imagine the improvements we could make in education, infrastructure, health and health care. Just imagine.

2. We could have been like the other civilized countries of the world....
who are smart enough not to sacrifice their citizens to protect their wealthy populations in order to preserve their 'world order'.

6. Much of western Europe makes the US look 3rd-world.
Edited on Sat Sep-01-07 09:02 AM by bos1
Having spent a lot of time there, the conditions in the US make me angry and sick. The world is poised to make a choice: ultra-free market rich & poor 3rd world places like Brazil and New Orleans, or stable, comfortable, semi-socialized capitalist countries like France.

3. It hurts too much to imagine what will never happen as long as the Greedy rule and the
sheeple are fooled by the proverbial carrot dangled in front of them, that their greedy leaders make sure they never catch.

Always voting against their best interests because they are self serving/self absorbed/self righteous and yes, a little greedy themselves in that they want what they want, but they don't want too share.

5. They could continue to rob us - that's just fine with me - just do it on other things
Quit robbing me when you build a bomber, go ahead and rob me when you fix potholes or build new schools. I don't mind people getting rich on Government contracting, I just want to change the things the money is spent on.

7. exactly! let the 500 dollar toilet seats be in hospitals, not warships.
Let Halliburton skim if they build new schools.
