One gay couple has gotten married in Iowa
So, I'm curious:

Has God rained fire down upon that state yet?
Has anyone decided to divorce because of what this one couple did?
Have any box turtles proposed to anyone yet?

1. Dogs and cats living together...
...mass hysteria!

I'm a married hetero Iowan, and since this ruling I've been passionately
attracted to my neighbor Sheila. I no longer find my husband
attractive and I'm considering destroying my family and convincing
several other married women in our cul-de-sac to destroy their
marriages also.

Moreover--I have no desire to play BUNCO anymore or attend my
local book club. I just want to run in the streets naked with
other women declaring that the family unit is dead.

Other than that, the new ruling appears to have had no impact.

2. (Hmmm...) Sounds like it's time to visit Iowa, if only to watch.
Maybe Iowa will see an 'upsurge' (so to speak) in tourism?

4. Is it really the most boring state in the country?
I've lived here all of my life, and I've never been bored.

It's interesting what people think about Iowa. I find it amusing.
Someone once asked me if we had electricity. I said, "Why would
we need electricity in log cabins when we have oil lamps?".

No seriously...

I struck up a conversation in the Detroit airport with someone. Upon
learning that I was from Iowa she said, "You're from Iowa?? Oh my gosh!!
Do you know Eugene???" She gave me no last name and looked at me like
I was nuts because I didn't know who she was talking about.

That's what I'm talking about people...

"We were never being boring...cause we were never being bored".

5. I've never seen land used so carefully in any other state.
While I only traveled (by motorcycle) down the east side of the state, I clearly remember farmlands that were tilled and planted right up to the edge of the road. I remember how little litter there was. I remember how carefully kept the homes were.

The only place I've seen land more carefully kept was in Switzerland. No litter. Cows don't have flies. Everything is tended and painted.
