5. Ninjas did not just dress in black, that is a hollywood thing

They used disguises as needed to get into places, one of which was all black when it was fitting for night work (and before the advent of electric light that worked well). They used camouflage no matter the color :)

I would equate the blackwater folks more with the samurai who were not interested in blending in and instead flaunting their power, but that is just me :)
