1. Glad to hear it. A few less families getting the knock on the door from a Chaplain.
Now if it can only stay this way while we ease them out over the next year or so...

6. 19 died in helicopter crashes
Non-hostile - helicopter crash

Fourteen soldiers died in one incident that the military says appeared to be mechanical failure.

8. 4 months remain in 07 and
the chances are great the total American soldiers killed in Iraq will surpass those of 2006. I detest using american soldiers deaths but when this reprobate administration lies then one must shed light.
822 americans were killed in Iraq in 06 and 736 americans killed in 8 months of 07. 86 more american deaths will tie 06...The average killed daily was 2.74 and based upon this number(2.74) that 86 will be in 31 or 32 days.(October 1 or 2 )
In 2005 there were 846 Americans killed. Down 3 deaths from 2004(849)
In 2006 there were 822 Americans killed. Down 24 deths from 2005 (846)

I can recall the media back in July two days prior to the end of the month begin using the talking months of this administration the deaths of american soldiers were down from June. Thus the surge must be working? The total 2 days out was 74. No mention of the 3 deaths on the 30th and no mention of the 2 deaths on the 31st. The total was 79. Did the MSM report this? No, they were too busy expounding the talking points the surge is working cause the deaths from June is lower.....

According to this, then the 81 killed in August should make one ask, Is the surge really working? or If the surge is working then why more deaths from the month before and why the doubling of Iraqi citizens deaths?

I do thank you
Ben David
