I thought "Why We Fight" was great, and own "The Fog of War." Both were mesmerizing and brilliant. Is "No End in Sight" of that quality? Kind of ambivalent about seeing it (at the AFI Silver Theater) on a Sunday evening. Opinions welcomed.

1. From what I've heard...
...this is THE film about how we got into such a mess in Iraq. I think I just read here this morning that it won a Sundance award. It won't be here until 9/14, but we will definitely be seeing it.

2. Have you read Imperial Life in the Emerald City?
from what I've heard the movie covers the same ground. If you've not read the book, you need to know this information. If you have read the book....go and tell me if it is enough different for me to go :)

3. I haven't. I should. I understand a movie is coming on that book, too.
One to check out, for sure. I am a voracious reader, but have missed that one.

4. It's on my required reading list along with "Jawbreaker" ,
"Conservatives Without Conscience", and "Imperial Hubris."

it's the one I think about the most, and still get angry.

6. Check back later or tomorrow, and we'll compare notes.
I think I may need to watch a rerun of WKRP in Cincinnati when I get home - just for perspective, and because I know how angry I will be.

8. Well, the way I feel right now...I could definitely use some comedy..
It's amazing that for someone who has spent hours and hours and hours reading posts on DU, newspaper articles, books on the Iraq war planning, etc., I was still completely taken aback by some of the information that was presented. I think seeing the actual players makes it so much more real. I went to see it by myself and I could not stop shifting in my seat because of the rage that was building up inside me.

I'm still a little bit shaken.
