And when the sex is, shall we say, "unusual," it arouses our curiosity to boot. Everyone is absolutely amazed to learn about the "activity" that Craig is accused of soliciting. Most of us had never heard of anything like that, so we are very curious.

As for Vitters, I think we just view him as another phony fool. We all make mistakes, but the mistakes he made are really easy to avoid. And then, on top of all that, there is the hypocrisy.

I remember that Democrats as well as Republicans were angry at Clinton. And remember Gary Hart. He was a Democrat who was ruined by a sex scandal.
