Tony "Snowjob" Snow leaves White House to go lie at FOX News
http://alaskareport.com/news907/z46625_tony_snow_snowjob.htm

<snip>"I accept, I love you and I wish you all the best," Bush told reporters, as Snow stood nearby. "Good luck, Godspeed." snip

"I don't know what else he's going to do and I'm not sure he does yet either. But whatever it is it's two things: One, he's going to battle cancer and win, and secondly, he'll be a solid contributor to society."

Snow is returning to FOX "News" in September.

2. I'm sure he'll
get full health benefits, too along with the gazillion dollar salary he'll earn for spinning the noise on Fox.

I wish him well, healthwise, but he really has never been more than a shill for the GOP no matter what his job has been.

Doctor, will I be able to play the piano after the operation?

Yes, of course.

Great. I never could before.

4. That's fine. I still wish Tony well in fighting his cancer.
I know it's not proof that things are very very bad, but he looked awful on Friday. I know I was convinced that Spector was at death's door a few years ago because he too looked terrible, and now he seems fine, but when I first heard about his liver being affected this time, it sure sounded very bad to me.

I don't ever agree with Tony, but I still hope he can beat this thing.

17. Liver cancer is always bad
Colon cancer oftens spreads to the liver and liver cancer of any kind is always bad. A very high mortality rate and the end is usually within a few months after it is discovered. Snow is getting chemo but that usually is just to prolong life a short time. We had a friend die recently from liver cancer and also had a relative with colon/liver cancer a few years ago and in both cases they were treated as he is being and were gone in a very short time. There is no cure and when this liver cancer of Snow's was diagnosed I know they said it was not in just one spot but had metastized into a number of areas. I listened intently because of the cases we were so familiar with.

11. Won't FOx's insurance carrier consider Tony's cancer pre-existing?
That's what would happen to a regular person who tried to get a new job with an existing health condition.

14. That may not matter.
He may be getting treatments that he can't get insurance to cover anyway, so he has to pay for them himself. Hence his need for a higher-paying job.

I read a story about Gerry Ferraro the other day. She's dealing with multiple myeloma and getting two injections a week as part of her treatment. Each injection costs $1,000. And because it's not yet the gold standard for treatment, insurance doesn't pay for it. So she's shelling out $100K a year on injections alone. That doesn't even address the other costs of her care.

13. he never LEFT.. He may not have shown up at his office there
But he was always still a Foxite. Murdoch probably had him on a leave of absence, and may have continued to pay him, for all we know.. What a valuable asset to have a guy INSIDE the white house, ready to set up instant interviews any time..

I never thought that Snow "left" fox.

16. I feel bad for anyone battling cancer
Been there myself w/ many family members and wouldn't wish it on anyone.

I do, however, have a problem with him rejoing Faux Noise. If he truly wanted to "spend time with his family", he would do just that!
