Bush heads for APEC summit...ever wonder what goes on there?...photos
“On Monday, Sep 3, President Bush will leave Washington and travel to Sydney, Australia, to attend the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation leaders meeting.”

“The annual APEC Summit Week is the most important series of meeting of political and business leaders whose decisions shape the future of the Asia Pacific and beyond.”
(Quotes are from the American Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam)

Baloney. APEC summits have nothing do do with economic cooperation. They’re an excuse to wear shirts that would get you laughed out of a bar on “Silly Shirt Night.” Only one person manages to look normal. See below.

Left side: "how come that guy gets to wear red?" Right side: "red makes you look fat."

“And in Bandar Seri Begawan President Clinton deserved a special mention for being the only person ever to make an APEC outfit look cool.” (Blogger’s caption.)

Damn, he’s tall!

"We're Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, we hope you have enjoyed the show...”
