Mortgage Lenders...oversight??? |
|
Edited on Mon Sep-03-07 09:34 AM by SHRED
Where was the oversight from Congress?
Does anyone have a link to a historical overview of regulatory legislation that was put forward, yet voted down over the last few years?
Lets find out how they voted, and who authored any Bills written to require better disclosure of sub-prime loans, etc...

1. I don't think the problem is that regulations were voted down |
|
The regulations are there, but just not enforced.
I believe it is the office of the States Attorney Generals to oversee predatory lending regs.

2. The only oversight needed is to let them go under... |

... while bailing out the (irrepsonsible) borrowers. That'd teach the irresponsible lenders a lesson.
