and turn himself in at the Hague to save the world the trouble of doing it for him. And save America the embarassment of having it happen.

going to happen. Despite all his faults, there are many, too many, Americans still supporting him for even impeachment and conviction to take place. At least based on the evidence of what's happened so far. And the Hague has no authority over the United STates, according to international law. War crimes trials are for two-bit 3rd world dictators that finally run out of friends in high places. Is this cynical? Give me a counter-example.
No American president, liberal or conservative, Republican or Democratic, is EVER going to allow another US president to be hauled before an international tribunal. Sets a horrible precedent, don't you know. The only way it is going to happen is for Belgium to invade and occupy the United States, capture the President, and then try him. I'm not holding my breath.
Nice thought, but could only take place in another reality.

19. Duh. I never said it was gonna happen. |
|
But the question in the thread was "what do YOU think he should do?" and what I think he should do is just what I said. He probably won't do what I want but I don't think he's going to kill himself either like several other responders suggested....

is go home to Texas, and that's what is going to happen. maybe we'll have a Democratic president, possibly Hillary, who can decide if federal charges are appropriate.
But the reason that he won't admit guilt for anything is that he doesn't think he's done anything wrong. Go figure.

Finish out his four or six months in the Texas Air National Guard.
We taxpayers spent more than ONE MILLION DOLLARS training that piece of ____ , George W. Bush, to fly.
Then he skipped out and never did us any good.

21. All he talks about is money... |
|
Notice his emphasis is on money which was really his sole motivation in invading and occupying Afghanistan and Iraq.
In a perfect world, since there will be no real justice served, he would become a hedge fund manager and manage his family's fortune as well as the fortunes of all the war profiteers including the Saud and bin Laden families, as well as Cheney's "deferred salary" from Halliburton which no doubt includes some nice "bonuses" hidden here and there for a job well done in Iraq, and manage to lose every penny.
Nothing would please me more than to see Barbara Bush being smirked at while she stood around in a food line at the Salvation Army waiting for a soggy day-old sandwich the way she smirked at the Katrina refugees that day in the Astrodome waiting for theirs.

Then I think he should move to New Orleans and live in a molded out house.
