1. More war. More funding of war. More hearings that lead nowhere.

More trips to the WH to schmooze with Bush. More standing at podiums with microphones to give the impression that they really concerned about * but not enough to impeach him.

For only 9 days I feel Madame Squeaker should park her jet and stay at the vineyard.

Don't forget that for so few days work, these politicians get a full years credit for their retirement benefits.

3. Well... As I've Posted Here Before...

I'm hoping they went home to a grand ass-chewing buzz-saw from their constituents, donors, and town-hall folk. I'm HOPING that they listened, and realize that their 2008 'victory' is not so assured these days. I'm hoping that they got that message, and will adjust behavior, and votes, accordingly.

But then I've always been a dreamer.

5. The House & Senate vote on Bush's right to use executive privilege

in an investigation where the law was broken to begin with. Miers and Rove subpoena's also to be voted on the use of executive privilege. (this is what Leahy said before leaving on vacation...)
