He's said he's not running. He isn't acting like he's running, but one obscure Rep. says that there's a good chance of it, and people buy it.
He doesn't want to run. He's been clear about that.

I don't support Hillary. It's likely that I'll vote for Dennis in my primary. And I neither hope nor don't hope that Gore gets in.

Honestly, though, I would tend to agree with you. I'd love to see Al get in the race, but I'd like to see something more than one U.S. Rep.'s prediction before I start getting my hopes up. I wouldn't flat-out say he's not running until he gives a flat-out, no exceptions refusal, but at this point I just think there would have been more signs of a campaign developing if it were going to happen in the near future. I'd love to be proven wrong, though.

18. Gore IS RUNNING Right NOW---a very different campaign |
|
He is running a pres. campaign based on action and attention. He is keeping his name out there, in a world campaign. He isn't willing to play petty tit-for-tat bullshit games. He is playing the role of a leader. Instead hollow talk, triangulation and the mudslinging he is winning awards, giving presentations and calling attention to all his stregths. He is running a campaign the way it should be. Screw the 30 second sound bite "debates".
His run is sophisticated, fresh, 21st century. He knows what he's doing. Re-elect Gore '08.

Nope. Not happening. He's said that he's not interested in running for President and sees another role for himself. The stealth campaign stuff is bullshit. And sorry, getting out there and meeting voters, and being pressed about what you believe and what your positions are, is not worthless.

And meeting people and on and on... It's not worthless, I didn't say that. All thier work shows us that none of them are the best choice. Do you really need to press Al to find out what he believes?
Who the hell really knows what Hillary believes, all I've seen is mucho money and that she can thread a needle. I think they are all fine candidates, and will bring alot of new voters to the Democratic Party to vote for our candidate---Al Gore.

I am not running. Instead Gore says that he has no plans to run. In several interviews he said he hasn't made "a so-called Sherman statement". He also reminded several interviewers that the election is still many days away.

Gore gave one of those for the 2004 election in December of 2002. Relatively speaking, we're over eight months past that point now.
And still no Shermanesque statement. Hmmm...

which is why he is keeping the buzz around him as long as he can. It should be interesting to see if and when he endorses someone else. I'm guessing whomever the Dem candidate ends up being, he'll campaign hard for them.
