For Years now, the need to impeach B*sh has been obvious...
but ever since the 2006 elections in which WE emerged as the leaders of Congress, we have been told that impeachment is off the table. Every day we find out about a new crime committed by Bushco but impeachment remains off the table.

Now, time may be growing short and if we impeached, we might not win but just as Bill Clinton walked away with the stigma of a Congressional Trial and that stigma will still for centuries, if we impeached you know how, that same stigma will be attacked to him and for a hell of a lot more serious reasons than just a BJ. That stigma also remains attached to Andrew Johnson after so long a period.

So, why don't we go after him? Why don't Pelosi and Reid get some backbone and drag Shrub to the hill and try the hell out of him?

I would like to see an effort by DUers to draw up a petition demanding that Pelosi and Reid explain their actions, or more appropriately lack of action to the whole country. Laying low as they have been lately is simply not acceptable.

1. I agree
but you'll find plenty of opposition here. After all, we have to keep our powder dry. We can't pick a fight that we will lose. We can't distract from all the good things we are accoomplishing. We can't look partisan.

3. They will only Impeach if they feel that they may lose an election
I think the only reason they aren't impeaching is because they feel they have a lock on 2008. It's the same reason they won't de-fund the Occupation, they want to win another election on Iraq and corruption. They care first and foremost about power. they are politicians.
The closest they have come to Impeachment was following the fired USA's to AGAG. They cared about that because the USA's were fired for political reasons, and could upset the outcome of elections in democratic places.

they just want to sit back and let the pubs unravel and then step in and act like a hero. Where are they now??
