FYI, President Johnson signed the bill authorizing use of the Metric system back in '66
That's right, Andrew Johnson started the US converting over to the Metric system on July 28, 1866.

2. Had to help my 8 year old
convert from inches to centimeters last night as part of her homework.

"Why don't they just pick a way and go with it!" She said.

Can't blame her. I remember being threatened by a math teacher over 30 years ago - "You people will all be sorry when they do the conversion next year!"

Daft old man. I'm an American. I know the difference between a one liter and a 2 liter bottle of Coke!
