You did not realize that success is happening SO FAST and SO FURIOUSLY, that using the old metrics that the Congress imposed is unfair and improper. So, just ignore them. We are doing so well, in so many places, that it is clear that the surge is a success. Look at the trajectory! Look at where we want to go! Iraq is too important to our national security, that we have to stand with them until we succeed.

clearly agrees that the surge is a complete success. Fouad Ajami is an Allawi supporter, if you could not guess.
he also wants to invade Iran.

if you did not know, this lebanese guy has a huge 'connected" past. Ajami was an advisor to Secretary of State Condi Rice as well as a "friend and colleague" of Deputy Secretary of Defense Paul Wolfowitz.
