How To Piss You SIS-in-Law Off in 60 Seconds or LESS!!

Today I was on the other phone line sharing a phone call from my wifes sister who is 18 years older than her...she is also a Christian SHEEPLE and follows every point that her pastor preaches politically and spiritually.

Anyhow towards the end of the twenty minute phone call she was telling about her shopping trip to Wal-Mart today and how she got a lot of stuff for $100.00. I spoke up and said that my wife and I have made a conscious choice recently not to shop there souly based on their treatment of their employees...her reply was all discount stores pay and treat their employees the same...name one I said. Target..I said Target pays higher and gives their employees optional Health care and have so for years...My wife and I are trying to find Ma&Pa bizzez to buy from.

My last point was what really got her GOAT. I asked her if she bought any clothes she said yes...I asked her to read the place of manufacture of each piece....Mexico...Honduras....Taiwan...Philippines...I asked her if she supported the child labor laws that the USA has on the book...Yes by all means. I said then would you be OK with with your 10 and 7 year old grandchild sewing clothes under fear of abuse if they failed to produce.....HECK NO that is a practice not acceptable to me...I said then you are either a hypocrite or seriously unaware of your practices....How is that she said.....I said those country's all have children your GCs age sewing clothes..I ll try and email you some links to show you...My wife trying to end the conflict came and took the phone away from me.

1. There you go again. Telling people the truth and shattering their
complacency. Love the part about your wife taking the phone away. Aren't relatives a trip?

happening. They simply deny the existence if they haven't seen, if Jesus didn't say it, it isn't in the Bible, or their preacher didn't say it. They would even argue the veracity of a video, I bet.

Nice job. Keep it up!

5. but so does Target
and every other chain and even local specialty stores. About the only reason to target Walmart is because they're so big they set the standards for everybody. But we're all using products that people may well have died, literally, to make.

We need to stand for labor everywhere, insourced, outsourced, US born - everywhere. Until we get it's labor against CEO, not US worker vs the world, we're going to continue to lose.

6. Bah, facts. You can prove anything with facts.
I believe in keeping the peace at home and I don't care how many children die in the process. :eyes:

8. Your SIL . . .
apparently goes to one of those churches where you might find a picture of * hanging on the Sunday School room wall. I kid you not; I've heard of it.

BTW, shouldn't being that openly politcal cost a church its tax-exempt status?

13. Some in my family are very religious died in the wool Republicans.

Anyone closely following the Republican presidential debates knows that there is a huge contrast between the position of nine of the 10 Republican candidates and that of Congressman Ron Paul on the subject of war. That contrast was strikingly illustrated in a YouTube video. Entitled “Preemptive Nuclear War vs. Christianity,” the video depicts a nuclear attack while also showing clips of remarks by some of the Republican candidates including Ron Paul. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=847J99MkUdk -This video lets you see how crazy and sinful Preemptive Nuclear war is! I end with- Ron Paul represents the truth in some ways like Kucinich who also is marginalized! If the GOP can keep their flock away from the internet and shield the Truth, then they know they can pull the wool, over our eyes... * They already know my choice is Dennis Kucinich! I show them a Republican who really is conservative like themselves. One who, like Dennis Kucinich took his oath to protect us and the Constitution, seriously! :patriot:

14. But why?
Gentle nudges or simply speaking positively about what you're doing would probably be more effective in getting your SIL to change.

Every family is different, but I'd be annoyed at my wife if she starting getting preachy with my sisters about their shopping habits (why cause a conflict when it isn't needed?).
