You know we don't really have a choice anymore about |
|
impeaching the SOB -
Personally - I was always afraid about the damage to the country if we did.
More and more - I am more afraid of the damage to the country if we don't.
I don't care if he has two days left let alone 15 months - it doesn't matter.
Failure to do that - makes us complicite in a crime.
There is no choice. It has come to that.
This has to be done. And I don't want it - but I don't see the choice anymore.

1. I'd prefer to get rid of Cheney |
|
Bush would then be all alone on Pennsylvania Avenue. He would be castrated without Darth.

2. Not impeaching Bush is the same as not prosecuting OJ. |
|
It does not matter whether we can get a conviction; what matters is the rule of law.
The Constitution is the Supreme Law of the land and IT clearly tells us to impeach the S.o.b.

7. God I don't want to do this - we all have to do things we don't |
|
want to do - there is no choice.
If we fail to do this - we will be complicit as a society.
There really is no choice right now.

|
if we aren't we must impeach and send his sorry ass off to the Hague to be tried for War Crimes. Nothing else is important now

There is no choice. I do not like the consequences of this - but the consequences of not doing it are so severe.
There is no choice anymore.

6. we as a country look worse for not correcting the major blunder of Bush |
|
being voted in a second time. There was a chance to change that and maybe make us as a country a better place and it certainly would have made us look better to the rest of the world for admitting there was a huge mistake made and we ain't to proud to admit it and take corrective action.

12. I am not - you are not - complicit - |
|
but failure now - we will be.
There is no political calculation justified when the question is right and wrong.
This has to happen - there is no choice anymore. There was once, arguably - no more.
I am afraid of the consequences of it - more afraid if we don't.
This is out of our hands - it has to happen. Now.

14. First order of business for the 111th Congress |
|
Imagine the new Congress convening as usual the first week of January 2009 after swearing in the new members and counting the electoral college ballots. Less than two weeks still remain in the term of the president and vice president.
Cheney and bush are impeached in one fell swoop. President Pro Tempore of the the Senate Robert Byrd of West Virginia will be chosen to be the acting President of the United States until Inauguration Day. President Byrd restores the Constitution in an elaborate ceremony that undoes all the executive signing statements of the past eight years. Bush and Cheney are remanded to the jail cell in the basement of the House as a symbolic act.
The Liberty Bell in Philadelphia will develop another crack as freedom rings once again from sea to shining sea.

I think they declared war on us -
and I do want to see what "run out on a rail" means in this new century.
I guess that is the good thing - we get to learn something new -

never be able to impeach ANYBODY. A president could kill somebody in the Oval Office and say the incident falls under executive privilege. It's a mockery of the entire country.

I like your point.
I honestly think - the US - we are an eagle with two wings - a right and a left - and you better not be in the middle when they cross - and that is exactly what these bastards did.
SO god help them.
Like we were never compare notes or something.
They are so fucked - and they still don't get it.
