Bush to collect after retiring
Quote from the book "Dead Certain"
"Bush admitted that he would like to make some money -- "replenish the
ol' offers", as he put it. He could make "ridiculous" money on the
lecture circuit.

This is simply a legal way to permit Bush to collect money for his actions as president. He'll visit each of the Fortune 500 companies -- speak for two minutes -- and collect about $100,000 from each.

In the interest of efficiency maybe the bagman for each of the 500 companies could all get together in one auditorium -- listen to his 2 minute speech -- and then all hand him their check for $100,000. At the same time, they could pat him on the head, scratch his tummy, tell him to "sit"and "rollover". Or would "beg" be more appropriate?

2. No Netherlands
speaking engagements for W; those smartly uniformed euro police would have him arrested, tried, and jailed faster than Ol' Jesse James could run at the glint of a Marshal's badge.

And those same 500 companies will shun him like a Plague should the last months of his presidency be stained with criminal indictments. That's my optimism for the day!

3. If Will Farrel was still on SNL, I would love to see a send up of
a future speech. He goes to the podium, untucked t-shirt, rumpled hair, scraggly beard, pops open a beer, chugs it, burps, wipes his mouth. "Thanks for the check". Leaves.

6. LOL, too accurate!
Bush in retirement will be even worse than in office.

4. Yes, this is a way for Halliburton and the rest to pay off their
bribes in the open, while thumbing their noses at us.

9. And they have seldom just told us out loud what they're going to do after office.
The ARROGANCE of The Pig Bush is beyond human comprehension.

10. It is different, because bush has no speaking skills
People legitimately pay for inspirational and knowledgeable speakers

bush is neither, so there is another reason to pay (him off).

11. If I became president after bush left office I would keep tabs on
the companies that attempt to sign him up for speeches. If they wanted to pay him to speak they would have to listen to him in Iraq. Outside the green zone. Make sure that any lecture circuits are totally outside the United States.

13. What if he gave a speech and nobody came?
only the corporate minions as a rebate for all the billions he's sent their way.

14. What a pig the guy is. I suppose he'll get up there with his
faux Texas drawl and "brag on" all the troops he commanded (omitting the thousands who've died) and all the embryos he saved (omitting the thousands of people who have died from lack of research). Let's hope he fills up the coffers fast and retreats to his Little Golden Book library and stays there.

16. I've been wondering if his drawl is going to go away at some point.
It's served it's purpose hasn't it?

15. He's certainly replenished the ol' coffins
I wonder if Mussolini would have been popular on the speaking circuit?
